Missionaries - Brazil
Taquara, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
I arrived in Brazil on December 29, 2011. I am currently working in the church plant in Taquara where I am involved in the children’s and women’s ministries at the church. Right now my focus is primarily with children, but I am also helping with several one-on-one Bible studies with women.
Birthday: May 13
Sending church: Sequoia Bible Church
My parents were godly Christians who not only taught us the Word of God but sought to live it out in their daily lives. As a young child I was impressed with the great need to share the gospel around the world through hearing mission magazines read aloud and having missionaries in our home and at the local church.
When I arrived at Cornerstone Bible Institute in the fall of 2000 it was my desire to be equipped for full time service in foreign missions. Upon graduation from Cornerstone the Lord lead me to take another year of Bible school at the Institute of Jewish Studies in Philadelphia. While I was attending
Cornerstone I had my first contact with Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission. I met Larry Lipka at the school's mission conference and I also met Ellie Driesenga as she visited the school during her deputation.
The Lord brought me to California in January of 2005 to partner with the ministry at Sequoia Bible Church. After a yearlong internship with the church the Lord sent me to Brazil for a four month mission trip. In the spring of 2007 I was accepted by Brazil Gospel Fellowship Mission and began traveling to churches and raising the prayer and financial support that I need to begin full time ministry in Brazil.
I arrived in Brazil on December 29, 2011. I am currently working in the church plant in Estancia Velha where I am involved in the children’s, teens and women’s ministries at the church. Right now my focus has been primarily with teens and children, but I am also helping with several one on one Bible studies with women. Since the beginning of 2016 I have also been working with fellow missionaries Mark and Jessica Stucky in the Sapiranga church plant. It has been a great privilege to see God work here in Southern Brazil and to be a part of what He is doing.
