Diego’s Testimony:

I was not born in a Christian home. Most of my extended family is Catholic. But when I was about 2 years old my mom converted to Christ and would take me to church every week. When I was about 6 years old I had already made 3 or 4 professions of faith in my Sunday school class. That did not make of me a “Super-Believer” but a deceived unbeliever. I grew up as a hypocrite, feeling safe for being associated with the local church, but without any fruits of transformation in my life. Most of my friends were unbelievers and I wanted to please them, rather than the Lord. As a result, I got less frequent in the church during my teenage years, until God sought after me. When I was 17, God sent loving brothers who confronted me with my hypocrisy. The Holy Spirit used that to bring me to an understanding of my sin, my destiny, and my need for Christ.

I have been married since July 21st 2007 to the love of my life, Kesia, and we have been blessed by God with two daughters, Joana and Olivia.

Our desire as a family is to serve the Lord preparing workers for the harvest of the Gospel. This desire flows from a deep-seated conviction that the Word of God, rightly interpreted and faithfully preached, must be central in the life and mission of the church. The Lord has used both my pastoral experience, academic training, and the recognition of others to confirm my calling to equip the next generation of pastors, church-planters, teachers, and missionaries in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries. We desire to see churches strengthened through sound doctrine, faithful exposition, and biblically qualified leadership. Our partnership with a BGFM and SIBIMA provides our ministry with the accountability, fellowship, and strategic collaboration to advance the cause of Christ by using what I have received from faithful men to train faithful men who will train others also (2 Tim 2:2).
