Having grown up in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia, the Bomboys met in their home church in 2008 and were married a year later. As they were serving in various ministries within the church and participating in short term missions trips annually, the Lord moved on their hearts to serve Him fully in foreign field missions.
From October 2014 to July 2015 they served with the Pierschbacher family in Pacoti, Ceará at the New Hope Bible Training Center, and New Hope Bible Baptist Church as short term missionary interns. Erin was immediately able to serve in music ministry and aid Alisa Pierschbacher in Children’s ministries. David was able to teach and utilize his construction experience in a variety of capacities. Through their time among the Brazilian people, the Lord solidified their desire to serve Him in missions and to serve Him in Brazil. After returning, they joined with BGFM in April 2016, and have begun the deputation process of raising support to return to Brazil.
They moved to Eureka, IL and and served as Missionary Interns at Liberty Bible Church.
The Bomboys arrived in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul in January 2019 for language training, and, as of February 2021, are now serving in Metropolitan Florianópolis, Santa Catarina with Jon and Denielle Johnson in a new church plant ministry.
